11th July Wharram Percy: as 3rd, but Redstart (2 - feeding young) [the highlight of course, since it began!],

Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler & Goldcrest, but no Grey Wagtail, Spotted Flycatcher or Treecreeper.

12th July Storkhill Farm: as 10th, but Snipe (4), Grass Snake & 3 Orange Underwings.

13th July Wharram Percy: as 11th , but Hobby (2 - skirmishing), Cuckoo (juvenile), and a baby treecreeper,

but no Redstarts.

Ringlet, Meadow Brown, Large & Small Skippers, Common Blue & Small Heath.

4th July Storkhill Farm: Common Tern, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Lapwing, Reed Bunting, Swift,

Swallow, Linnet, Starling; but also Garden Tiger Moth, Ringlet, Meadow Brown,

Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral & Small Skipper.

5th July Wharram Percy: as 3rd but Dingy Skipper & greater numbers of other butterflies.
